Pozivaju se zainteresirani studenti i nastavnici na predavanje koje će održati profesorica Galya Georgieva-Tsaneva, Ph.D., Institute of Robotics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences na temu “Interactive software tools for processing, monitoring and mathematical analysis of data using statistical methods“. Sažetak predavanja:

 

Introduction to interactive software tools for data processing, monitoring and mathematical analysis using statistical methods. Nature and purpose of statistical packages for evaluating the results obtained from mathematical analyses.

 

Presentation of methods for frequency analysis of data and graphical illustration of the obtained research results. Advantages of graphical methods as a visual tool for observing the characteristics of the studied data. Application of the methods in various fields of science, public life, social sphere and health care. Introducing mathematical data analysis methods through an interactive platform for data collection, processing, and evaluation through the MATLAB Graphical User Interface Development Environment (GUIDE).

 

The lecture will also present Postgraduate Training Opportunities at the Institute of Robotics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences: possible research areas and topics.

 

Životopis:

 

Galya Georgieva-Tsaneva, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Robotics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia, Bulgaria; Head of the “Medical Robotics” Section. Her scientific research interests include serious educational games, statistical analysis of results, wavelet analysis, coding and compression of information, web accessibility, medical information system, investigation of physiological data, fractal modeling, computer networks and communications, teletrafficengineering. G. Georgieva-Tsaneva is the author/co-author of 7 chapters in scientific books and has published over 110 scientific articles internationally and nationally. She is a member of the Union of Informatics and Automation in Bulgaria, Member of the management union of the Territorial Organization of Scientific and Technical Unions – V.Tarnovo and a member of the editorial board of International Scientific Journals.
